4age head swap: big port -> small port

i own a ae82 with a 4age and on sat i got the terrible news that my big port (86kw) head is cracked. i called up toyospares and they said its $240 for another head, and that the big port, small port and 20V are all the same price.
i know the 20v wont fit cos of the pistons(mine 4 grooves instead of 5).
what i want to know is, if a small port(100kw) head will simply bolt straight onto my block.
will i need another ecu? if so will a after market ecu or piggy back chip do the job? and which one you guys recommend.
will i need to get a different wireing loom?
thanks.

so does the small port have a MAP semsor or an AFM?
and if it doesnt have TVIS do i need a new intake manifold?
what exactly do i need to change to make it run apart from the head?
manzy: i am after a small port(the 100kw one) head.

it has smaller ports, higher port velocity and better midrange... i fail to see the problem with that

fine to use the small port head as they are better atmo than the big port.just block of the oil return turn at the back of the head.you will gain a bit of power with the small port head.
mick
p.s if you dont know what your talking about dont answer in the tech section.lol makes it very confussing for people when there is right answers and some idiots opinion that is worthless.like the first answer.
