good turbo application for 1j?

just looking to see what sort of turbo, more so with a single turbo setup, ppl are running on there 1j's. I have a 1j in my mz soarer and have a huge td07 on it and it's great for what the previous owner in japan used it for which was for drags but not really ideal for street use as there's a fair bit of lag, really wanna be boosting earlier. SO what are the other 1j single turbo owners out there running or what can anyone suggest. As an example what about a GT35/40?

I have a HKS Ta45s 650hp turbo and it is also laggy but don't really mind as it is for drag. GT3040 or 3540 and choose a smaller or larger turbine A/R depending on street use or not.

Oh man, I'm just takin the piss.
I'll keep my trash out of this serious thread now. Best of luck finding a turbo that suits street applications the way you want it to
Can't wait to see the car again!
MR 1JZ, you should've heard the sound of this thing. He started it up for me to show me it when I got the drivers side window off of him.... my god the sound, it was glorious!

But how much cash would i have to give you as part of the deal for those CT (pee wee)23's hehe
And on the sound ting, aint so enjoyable after coming back from terrigal after my tune with no soundproofing on the floor, let alone any carpet (on it's way) and no cat as yet (hopefully thurs). My ears were ringing for a good half hour when i got back. But yeah, she sounds nice otherwise.
Got your email MR IJZ, thanx. Whats the name of that turbo? WOuld you be interested in mine if i were to sell it? Or anyone let me know if you'd be interested in a TD07
