i was cruising along the road today, after i got my exhaust fixed, then all of a sudden, the car dies, i gave it a bit of throttle {didnt realise what was going on yet} and it splutters and the engine shuts off.
if i try to restart it, it starts for a sec and then when i back off the starter, back to ignition that is, it dies.
doesnt matter if i give it more throttle either
racq came out, he couldnt work it out {duh}
i have a new electronic ignition in it too
help me

the resistor WAS bypassed,
on top of my ignitor, it has "7.6"
thats not voltage is it, cause it was probably getting more than that

check you didnt blow the "ignition" fuse
also check if the wire has disconnectd from the resistor/igniter
i think for memory the coil is hard wired for power in the start position

Charge it/replace it then! 7.5 isn't enough volts.

Hello,
Could also be the altenator. I had the same thing on my Subaru and my Dad too on his Pajero. I replaced my altenator but dad's was just a loose connection. Scoobydoo works fine now, stil goin after 377,000 kms!
If not, then battery and all other previous suggestions. Or like u have all ready done, employ the proffesionals!
Cheers, Pomey!
