HAD TO SHARE...CELSIOR Sun, 04 September 2005 13:05 Go to next message
So i am driving home from work again Crying or Very Sad

anyway i pull up behind a very tidy white Celsior Very Happy

nice twin pipes emmiting a sweet burble, some pretty wide rubber and it looked pretty low.

Lights go green and the Celsior takes off at an adequate pace.

I am in a bit of a hurry, its a 3 lane road we are in the left lane so i decide to pull out to pass. He gives it a bit, i am in no mood for stupidity so let him go and pull back in behind.

We are now doing about 70 and i notice the Celsior is jumping around, its as if there are pogo sticks on eack corner. We get up to about 80 and i kid you not it just about jumped of the road.

honestly at one point the wheels were off the ground Shocked it was like some sort of mechanical bull set up and the dude at the wheel was having about as much luck controlling it as riding some crazy rodeo animal .....and this was on a faily flat smooth road Laughing Laughing Laughing

It was low but i have seen lower....i have seen how cars behave when they are on the bump stops.....but this was WORSE.

To me it looked like high rate springs....with NO dampers

can anyone suggest why it would be doing this...but more to the point why would you still be driving it !!??? Rolling Eyes

Before buying my celsior I drove one with stuffed airbags, it was hard to control at 40.

Do all Celsiors have air bags from the factory ?

but i agree something was rooted Laughing Laughing

Dust, what was wrong with yours ?

I dont know much about air suspension, especially on these cars.

I know you can adjust the ride height but how about the spring rate ? and if so how about the dampers ? do they also adjust to the higher rate as well ?

anyway it was very entertaining if not dangerous

They one I took for a drive was distgustingly neglected, it just sat on the bump stomps and jumped around like crazy.

Not all Celsiors have air suspension, its an option.
