When I got my 4agze Corolla engineered in the ACT I did not have to do an emissions test. Just the usual noise test. Not sure about NSW. I guess it depends, are you running aftermarket management? Maybe they'll want to do it then?

slightly off-topic - where would one get an unleaded fuel filler neck to suit a mk2 supra?

I usually get my filler necks from a commodore and just modify them to fit.

Back on topic... I don't think they test for emissions, but i'm not 100% sure.

I don't blame you for being scared about emissions. The engine in your car is significantly older than the chassi you've put it in. It will be very interesting to see what the engineer has to say about that.

yeah, its slightly older but I thought the 1J being in a priduction car till 99 would have deter'd that.

With the unavailability of leaded fuel is this still required?

Cheers

KOFFEE-BLACK: Mate i just got mine done and you need emissions test, tare weight and possibly exhaust db depending on who you go to.

If your interested try this guy i used he is very good. His name is Col Potts and his mobile number is 0428421065. He is located at fairy medow but should travel to Syd.

Hope this helps you out...

My engineer said nothing about this. I'd suggest most of them wouldn't care these days, but obviously you should check first. Smile

mine insisted on the unleaded filler neck.. when i asked him about it given the lack of leaded fuel he said it was still required despite the lack of fuel.

that said i imagine over time it will eventually be dropped, or ignored.
