oil cooler on a 20V Mon, 05 September 2005 08:38 Go to next message
what sandwich plate do i use to fit an oil cooler on a 20V? where from and how much?

also

theres a bolt in the block above the oil press sender unit on the exhaust side on the 20V, is this tapped into the oil system, i figure it is due to its location next to the pump and oil press sender. If it is can i remove the bolt and fit a fitting and use this as my oil feed for turbo?

cheers

are you after something like this?

http://wtljkane.customer.netspace.net.au/blockex.jpg

this is on a 16v block but i was thinking about using the same setup on my N/A 20v as its alot more compact that the AE92 sandwich plate which fouls my KE side engine mount.

It came with the oil cooler in a kit. But I think you can by them seperate. Has a Thermostat in it, alot of aftermarket ones dont.
I got it through Dr. Drift.

Whole kit was $180 inc hoses, fittings and the cooler.
Look for him on nissansilvia.com

hope that helps

i don't believe the 4ag fwd factory oil cooler sandwich plate fouls on 4ag rwd motor. this setup being used on 4 ae86's, works fine for all of them. have a got pic but cant firgure out how to post.

Simon thats my 16v block with the oil cooler.
Im pretty sure Dr Drift can sell you just the sandwhich plate. Has a thermostat too.

I think I remember reading somewhere that the bolt hole you are talking about is a coolant drain?
