Cruzsida, there you go again, spoiling the moment!
but yeah i was ment to say "these engines" somewhere in there.

dam fine engines either way you look at it. 190ps outa 1.8 litre is impressive, these 2zz's were tuned for 190ps for lotus elises, and 180ps in the celica, quite potent to have in a corrolla.

Berad that's dam impressive too, and makes me relize how god aweful it is for me to get to work everyday in the supra, along the lines of $10 day. I really need to change that 4:3 lsd to something taller. or get a motorbike.

Looks like a few of those engines have picked up a few awards. A real shame we won't be seeing them corrola's here.

don't think so, these corrolla runx's have a ton of stuff we don't have on our corroll's, just from clicking various links on that site about the runx i learnt it's far above spec to local offerings.

Did our corrola's ever come out with a 2zz?

so toyota came good on those inflated figures (not putting out the claimed power)?

toyota are going to be getting so much bigger then what they already are due to fuel prices, and there excellence in fuel efficient engines and head start on hybrid/electric cars. Honda too!

Corolla Sportivo to us, Corolla RunX to Japan, Corolla Matrix to the USA and Corolla T-Sport to Europe, they're all the same car.

You should be thankful Toyota Australia did take note Smiley =

The 'Z Aerotourer' model RunX does offer a few more features (options like Xenon lamps, sequential shift, sunroof, different body kit etc), but make no mistake, they are the same car.

There is a 2 door version (Europe), and also an 4wd model (Japan & Europe), but I don't think the 4wd version comes with the 2ZZ.

EDIT: Also, for dingaling's benefit, Toyota's current WRC car is based on the 4wd Corolla platform (with customised ST205 running gear).

the ALLEX is basically the Aus sportivo body (hatch thing) with 2ZZGE engine.

most cars are available to Hokkaido as 4WD, but not necessarily to the rest of japan.

The only difference between the Allex and RunX is the styling, on the 2ZZ-GE models anyway.

Toyota's code for the:

Allex
TA-ZZE123-BHFQF

RunX
TA-ZZE123-AHFQF

Australia's Sportivo has that same "ZZE123" monkier, but the Sportivo bodykit is based on the Allex, not the RunX.

Sportivo

RunX

Check this out... http://club-ncv.hp.infoseek.co.jp/ncv/ncv-car.htm

All the Toyota's based on the current Corolla platform.
