right click, save as.

sure its not flooded? Thats what mine was like when it was flooded after I changed my alternator, it was still sparking and all that, but the plugs were just too wet to spark when in the engine.
Try some new spark plugs,or make sure yours are completely dry, then crank it over for a little with no plugs in to get rid of the fuel, and then try with it all back together, that fixed mine.
Or maybe the ecu? When my ECU decided to die it wouldn't start either.
tried spraying something in the intake to help it start?
my mate had brand new sparkies in his engine, and somehow they fkd out, they still sparked but for some reason it just woulndt start!, just as a precaution he just replaced them and it kicked over!
Hope it is something as simple as that!
Goodluck!
Cheers.

Have you just fitted the engine and are trying to get it running or was it running and now wont start?

Have you removed the distributor at all? It could be timing or possibly fuel.

Pull a spark plug out and see if it is wet with fuel. If it is then it could be flooded as WHITCHY said. If the plugs are dry try spraying some carby cleaner or aerostart down the intake and see if it tries to fire. If it does try to fire then it is probably fuel related. Is the cold start injector working?

If the distributor has been removed has it been put back in right?

i have replaced the spark plugs but i will recheck tomorrow
dizzy cap has been replaced, as well as the ignition leads

it would spark up a bit but not enought to keep going

i just dropped the engine in and got the loom finished last weekend, was a fwd 4age out of a twinky.

one time i heared this loud bang, which im guessing it the fuel build up exploding Confused

the extractors are warm after a few starts

Try turning the dizzy while someone tries to start the engine.
It sounds like the timing.

i got fucked around for ages with my 5mge,
timing, fuel...injectors!
when it was all fixed, it wouldnt run, after trying and double checking everything i decided to get some new spark plugs, the old ones had only been used for about 5 minutes of running!
so took old plugs out, cranked engine with no plugs, new plugs in and it ran no worries at all

If you move the dizzy while cranking does it change the way it tries to start. Have you got the dizzy spun as far as you can to get it to run like this. If so the dizzy could be a tooth out.

Have you checked the position of the timing marks on the camwheels to make sure the cams are timed properly ?

If you are getting fuel and enough spark the only things that can be wrong are..... not sparking at the right time ie ignition timing.
or your cam timing is incorrect Razz

In all seriousness the cam timing would've been he first place id start in this situation,

Especially if it sounded chocked like yours is.

Cheers
