Maybe, maybe not.

It could last a few weeks, it may lockup as you leave the driveway next.
It may lock up next time you get to 100kph.

how long is a piece of string?

you need to be a little bit more specific about what the car is doing, what noises it makes, undwer what conditions, etc etc

then we can diagnose pretty much what is wrong with it.

basically i took off with some wheel spin and it went BANG... so i pulled over to have a look and it all looked fine then i started to drive and it went CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK
as i was turning the corner to head home, it was clunking really badly, then as i went in a straight line it was ok, and even went away, then as u hit inclines or corners it would CLUNK CLUNK the slower u went the worse it seemed to sound... this is the observation from the short 10 minutes drive it took me to get home... but the car feels like it shakes a tiny bit when it clunks and the clunk is really loud...

sorry to make my previous observations so shit!!!!

Cheers
Nick

when is loud clunking EVER good / tollerable with cars EVER? No, I wouldn't try it. Find a wrecked MX73 and use that dif, atleast you'll have something for the time being till you can find another F series LSD (not common)

does the car vibrate when the clunking happens? and does it only happen in a certain gear?

If its not the diff maybe the uni joints? try moving your tailshaft by hand when the car is parked.

But loud clunking, does sound like a broken tooth in g/box or diff, I have done both and they both sound similar.

This part suggests you broke one of the spider gears in the diff. These don't spin when you're driving in a straight line, hence no noise. The spider gears are typically the first thing to let go in factory F series diffs.

Get a TrueTrac, they don't have spider gears. Smile
