MS86 - MS65 Hubs

HI guys,
Just went to my local wreckers and found some beauties.
Well, kinda.
I found an MS65, and hurridly went to ripping off the front hub.
Did one side, then went to the other, only to find some had already taken the whole assembly... shit.
However, right next to it, i found a MS68 (or mx68???, i forget ), and after a abit, i had both hubs off allong with the discs.
By eye, it would seem they use the same bearings and are physically the same size. The MS65's discs were thicker however, but both disc's fitted on the other hubs.
Question is, can these be used for the 5stud conversion for the front of the ma61?
Ive included pics below.
Thanks!!!

I've done abit more digging about... and just by the shape, they seems to resemble the ms123 hubs.... which isnt good
see here http://www4.tpgi.com.au/users/loats/technical/ma61 /fronthub.html
But, still.. i havnt been able to find any information about the actual car model (ms68)

Well you sure the bearings are the same? Check numbers, and most importantly swap them around see how they fit. I've used UZS131 hubs twice now in place of MS65 ones, and with a bit of lathe work they do the job nicely...

MS85 bearings are different - bigger inner and outer diameters than MS65.

Youu should be able to take both bearings to a bearing shop and tell them you want this inner and that outer. Best of both worlds.
Alternately may only need a sleeve on the stub if it won't match exactly.

From memory, the sleeve would need to be something like 1mm (or less) thick, so pretty bloody tricky to machine up.
Do the mix'n'match bearing and race thing.....just make sure everything is at the right angle.

Yeah, thing is I spent a while with a catalogue and couldn't find a bearing combination to match, so I got a cup and cone to fit the stub and with a bigger OD, then machined the hub out to suit. I then had no trouble finding a seal that fitted as well.

finding 1x MS65 hub is by far the better option.

i have 12 pages of repco database dump that says it wasnt you, dave
hehehe, nah im not saying the sun shines out my arse, im just saying, from what started as a convo between dave and myself, followed by a load of wrecker crawling, a triumphant woohoo, then the resultant sledging from the supraforums.com guys, its kinda eery to see such a worldwide interest in these bits, and private sales of these hubs going for almost $200 pair...
