Hey watsup guys
i just turned 18 and i need to buy a car. since a quick car is outta my reach for now, i've decided to go drifty styles with an 86
neone got cheap nice examples out there?
if so just let me know what year, colour and what engine is in it, as i'd rather a 4age than an 4ac...
my preference's would be a good working white 86 with a decent body and good working engine, i don't know if all come with a/c and what not but the more options the better 
my budget is around 3-4 depending on condition

ummmm dude just look around on these threads man ... theres so many sprinters being offered ... tradingpost dont even get this much sprinters ...
anywayz about yah insurance it wont be much if u get third party and since u aint looking for a supercharged sprinter it wont be much ...

i have a bog stock ae86, with a black fibreglass bonnet and starlet gt seats and a jdm steerer, admiting these mods and with provision for 14inch wheels to be fitted, AAMI charges me $343 for third party fire and theft, per year in adelaide

if your thinking of 4age then expect more, with shannons im paying $600 3rd party and don't even consider full comp with a car modified.

bootheman, isnt ur car the one from tassie? thats only worth about $7-8k from what i heard, unless u've done some major mods to it. like a TRUENO NOSE, TWIN TURBO, LSD all round, 4WS, 4WD, CARBON FIBRE INSERTS etc... to get even close to $20k 
just kidding mate! ur car is worth wat you believe it to be

haha my cars been of the road for 5weeks getten heavily modded.
full new rebuilt 3tgte
ct26a turbo
GTiR frontmount intercooler
new HD clutch
Haltech f10ecu
custom manifold
custom dumpipe
i dont know my self but hey id call that alot of work and thats only what ive done in the last 5weeks. let along what ive done to it in the last 5months.
to thoes who are looken for a ae86, i surgest u do your background resarch first, b4 u tell people what thier cars worth. due to the fact if u are going 2 do a 4age convertion on a sprinter alone. and thats just a swap from 4ac to 4age it gonna cost u $3500. not including car.
but hey what would i know

Gee you bunch are a hard lot to please Strip has been fixed (damn spray painters, bumper.........well what can I say! Came with the half cut like that, and with the prices of new panels, blinkers etc, I wasn't prepared to fork out another fortune to buy a new bar.

generally, you gotta look for them
they won't come to you..
Also, just remember that sprinters aren't very common.
They never sold in large amounts to start off with.
And also, every year... more and more go to the "toyota Heaven" up above.

Isn't that an oxy-moron in itself?
Being 20 year old cars, I'm sure that everyone's had a good go at either thrashin' them or running them into the ground. If not, then either high milege or rust would have got to them by now in one way or another.
You have to put some work into these cars y'know ... the only mint ones you'll find are ones that people have put some work and effort into them (such as Mr 20 Valve's).
Even then, such cars command a relatively higher price than normal stock ones.
As long as the rust etc is fixable and it has no accident damage, any AE86 has potential.
