hi.
i need some good pics of the factory 18RG/solex throttle assembly.
tis is so i can fabricate something similar, as not one spare parts dealer/carby specialist in my area bothered to help me.
failing that, pics of any aftermarket/custom setus would also be appreciated.
if you have linkages for sale in victoria, even better.
thanks all.

There are more than one width for 18RG manifolds. If someone tries to sell you linkages, make sure that you match the length of the manifold they come off to the one you have.
Any manifold of runner length 60mm from centre of head flange to centre of carby flange will take the same linkages I reckon, of will be easily modified to work.
Manifolds that have a head to carby length at the runner centre of 90mm should have linkages compatible with other long manifolds.
I don't have a digital camera so I can't get any photos to you, otherwise I would, sorry.

Hi destrato,
I have just completed an Throttle cable kit for a 2T-G/Solex set up. $140 with exchange of throttle plate linkage.
I have been making up these kits for years and am in the process of doing so for the 18R-G/Solex set up. The kit will cost $140 plus postage and will come with fitting instructions.
If you are interested and can wait two weeks I'll have pictures available.
Regards
Rodger

just grab a MX62 throttle cable. then all you need is a small bracket and a connector to join the cylindrical knob to the spherical knob
they are a bit long but yu can loop them around
thats what i used on my 18RG RA40 - worked fine
