I've had no experience with Teac media, but generally the big brand CDr discs work best. I prefer TDK and Ricoh media myself, as I've never had an issue with them. I can write at 52x onto 40x and 48x CDs without any troubles.

i use anything on mine. LG 16X12X40 Writer.
Likes all types of media.
But my preference is TDK. the pack of 25 with cases for around $17 at strathfield car radios. they look good and always burn + casing rather then spindles (your cds end up all over the house ) .

I second the "lazer" brand.. cheap, never had any probs.
I'm also using another cheap brand here at work, HiCO, nearly through the whole spindle without a prob, burning at 48x as well.

Cant go wrong with the 35 buck 50 spindle tdk's!
At work we stock Mitsubishi CD-R's, they have the blue bottom (Blue Azo) I have found them to be the best so far for audio etc.
The Verbatim's are the same, but a little more expensive, cause if you look on the back of the packaging, they say Mitsubishi-Chemical. So they are just Mitsubishi's anyway !
DONT USE CRAP FROM BIG W OR KFART. Aboslute waste of money.

i will 3rd the LASER brand.. and give around 500 other referalls for its tops quality.... well sell it at Jaycar, and its basically now our big brand cos its that reliable.
plenty of overburn, even on the 50x discs!
Also found out from the rep that they come from the same factory as MITSUI (another TOPS brand - rather expensive tho!)
as Josh said - burn like a crazy man!
P.S. i dislike blue CD-R... they dont read well on older Lasers

Yeah I 4th TDK or LAZER,
My burner stays on 40x... No probs with data.
Music, well ofcourse you must slow it down, depends on the source and your machine specs though, I find 20x and under works ok for music.
Cheers

PSX games usually like to be copied at slower speeds. 4x or 8x usually leads to much more reliable copies than those done at 40x or whatever. Give that a try perhaps.

dont be forgetting that your playstation also needs a modchip of which i still have a heap.....
also good idea to burn PSX games with cloneCD, since some games do have copy protection.

Laser CDR's are great, and also the Laser Black Disc's are great for SPS as they look identical to your original SPS discs

Yep, lasers are perfect.
I used them several years ago, they went great then too.
I've used probably just about every brand out there, and laser and TDK's are the go.
CloneCD? Forget that. You need Alcohol.
Alcohol 120% that is.
That and clonyxxl to determine copy protections.
