if the car is in as good as a condition as he says it is in it sounds like it is worth the money. even if it is just above average condition it is a fair price and is obviously what the owner wants and he shouldnt have to change his price because you think it is steep.
pictures speak a thousand words.

Yes the price is negotiable, but I've looked around on the Trading Post and other places and I reckon the price I'm asking is about right.
I am gonna take some pictures on the weekend. I don't have any webspace to put them on but I can email them to you if you're interested. Let me know and I'll send the pics on Monday.

In that case the engine would be a 4A-FC not a 4A-C. I just looked at the engine bit.
4a-c = carby sohc.
4a-fc = carby twinky.

As WiLo said, it is a CSX, so the CSX dash kinda got thrown in for free 
I'm pretty sure its a 4A-C engine, but I'll check to make sure though.
I'll let you know how much I get for it...in the meantime feel free to keep bumping up my post lol

its 4a-c Carby 1.6L 4cyl FWD, but the 87' version of the engine was one of the last ones , so the power it *should* pull would be not bad for that size corolla, my 85' fatty ae82 seca had a 4ac and it was alright too

4A-C
The basic 4A and Cal-spec 4A-C was an SOHC 8-valve carbureted engine, rated at 70hp (52kw) at 4800 rpm. Torque was good for a small engine, at 85 ft·lbf (115 N·m) at 2800 rpm.
4A-F/4A-FC
A narrow-valve (22.3°) DOHC 4-valve carb version, the 4A-F, was produced from 1987 through 1990. Output was 90 hp (67 kW) at 6000 rpm and 95 ft·lbf (128 N·m) at 3600 rpm.
My friend had a fatty as well lol and it went harder than my hatch because it was the twin cam variant.
The corollas of that era come in S, CS and CSX.
S's are mainly AE80's but can be AE82.
1.3L SOHC 4 speed manual/3 speed auto.
CS is
1.6L SOHC 5 speed manual/3 speed auto.
CSX is
1.6L DOHC 5 speed manual/4 speed auto.
rthy, yup the 4A-FC is in the very early ae92's and late ae82's.
This is according to the manual btw.

Well I checked the owner's manual and it says its a 4A-C engine. I mean it may be the wrong owners manual, but its the one that came with it.
Is there an easy way to tell just by looking at the engine?
