Answer to Question 1, If it has two bolts holding a small plate on, then that is where some 1J's mount an oil level sender.

cheers Chuck.

Yeah that would be where the oil level sender is mounted.

Thanks, I have enough wires to reroute now without an oil level light.
Question about mounts, The two I have are A1, but thought I'd price them before I made up special mounts for them for my engine swap. Got a new price from Castle Hill Toyota, $260 each. I can set conversion up with much cheaper items, the JZX100 ones are listed in for sale if anyone needs them.

Chaser and Soarer/Supra mounts are somewhat different

Soarer/Supra only have one central large bolt to subframe instead of the two smaller ones on the Chaser

thanks, there is also a difference(Chaser part numbers) betweem manual and auto, I'm at the stage where I can set up to use much cheaper alternatives.I had a Z32 that Nissan reconned a single mount was worth $300 plus, After market urethane $300plus a pair,(urethane does not key well to bolts, total waste of money, lucky to get a year out of them) Xjs Jag with a spacer cost me $70 for the pair.Worked brilliantly.Time to go buy another set.
