20v ae82 - engeneering cert Sat, 17 September 2005 02:48 Go to next message
has anyone gone through with getting their 20v ae82 engeneered?

im asking cos i need to know if there needed to be any work done(strengthening the chassey, etc), or if it just went through without a problem.

also i know that if i drop in a 20v into the ae82 i will need an eng cert, but what if i did up a 16v to be a 20v. will i not need one in this situation?

All they did for my AE82 20v engineers report was 10 stops from 100kph and a noise test. Apart from that all he did was check under the bonnet to make sure the engine wasn't held in with cable ties Razz
He said i didn't have to have the speedo calibrated because i had stock rims.

thats a relief, i thought a roll cage(for chassey strengthening) might end up being another unplanned 'extra' in this project...

thanks guys.
