 WTB: Cheap, reliable car with rego

Heres the story, Im going on a long road trip in November and i am after a cheap cheap car with rego that will hopefully make it the whole way.
Im after a car with under 1.8 litres capacity, 5 speed box and rego till january/february next year.
I am interested in cars like:
- Datsun 120y/1000/180b
- Daihatsu charade
- Suzuki swift
- Toyota Corolla/Corona/Crown/Hilux/Hiace/Liteace etc:
- Honda City/Civic
- Holden Gemini
You get the picture 
Im looking at spending under $1200
Im located 1 hour north of Sydney but will travel.
