KE10 tierod Mon, 19 September 2005 04:09 Go to next message
Peoples,

Need the threaded tube which connects the inner and outer tierods on a KE10. The tube that adjusts the wheel alignment. I need two in total (both sides) any help would be good, not even Toyota sells them anymore.

Cheers

I haven't got one but it might be worth seeing if they are the same part on the later (KE20/KE25/KE30 etc) model corollas as they will be a bit more common and easier to find.

Just an idea.

Good luck.

I just did this as one of mine bent in my KE15 when i was traveling at 110kmh! (interesting experience)

There is a guy in clayton victoria, mechanic with tonnes of old corolla parts, i cant give u a name or address or phone number (what a help i am) but he helped me out with mine when i needed them, someone on these forums SHOULD know his name and number (ive got his card here but its faded!)

He said that they came with 2 different sized threads on the rods etc, but if u can get a hold of him he should be able to help you with replacements

Hhhmmm so my first option was no good, what about getting some made at your local engineering shop? Obviously some second hadies would be cheaper but if all else fails I wouldn't think a threaded tube would cost too much to have made up.
