There's two lingo types. THe army one, and the international aircraft one. Not sure about the army, but the air one is...
A - Alpha
B - Bravo
C - Charlie
D - Delta
E - Echo

L - Lima
M - Mike
N - November
O - Oscar
P - Papa
Q - Quebec
R - Romeo

U - Uniform

W - Whiskey

Y - Yankee
Z - Zulu
I think that's right, but as always, willing to be corrected. I think the army code uses "baker" instead of "bravo" and probably a few other changes.
