Cost of CV joint and suspension? Perth Tue, 20 September 2005 18:07 Go to next message
How much do CV joints and suspension cost for an 1988 Celica? I've been quoted $350 - $400 at Autobahn for the CV joints and about $700 - $800 for all 4 suspensions. The price includes installation, is that a good price or are there cheaper quotes around in the Perth region?

700-800 sounds reasonable for shocks, specially if it includes install. Tho have u considered intalling them yourself? not too hard as long as u can get hold of some spring compressors, if they are struts.

are u doing both CV joints? if their not stuffed there is no need to do them at all, my mechanic always told me that unless they are clicking don't touch them!

Either way a CV joint is usually around $100 and about an hrs labour per side, so i guess 350-400 isn't too bad.
