Any turbo is going to work to some extent. It depends on how hard you want to push it. The CT9 is a small turbo if I remember right. I think it came on a 1C-T deisel motor, and maybe as twin turbos on a 1G-GTE? It will work ok, but the turbo is probably only good for 200hp so don't expect more than that, but I can't say for sure.

The CT20 was the factory turbo for the 3T-GTE, so that maybe a better one if you can find it.

The turbo is designed for a 1.5 litre engine, yours is 1.6 litres. It should work OK for modest boost, and I expect it will spool up pretty quick. Top end won't be much chop though.

just a corection on that. my engine is a 1.9 litre(2tgte)

but i think i might just try my ct20 and if its dead il price a rebuild if its cheaper for a new turbo il just buy a garret gt28r.

thanx and laterdays

would be cheaper to by an ex-nissan used turbo - T28? i paid $350 for mine and it came with spares - cheap enough to be disposable when they fail.

people100,

It is common knowledge the 2T engine can be anything from 1400cc to 2000cc, depending on bore x stroke. Mine is 1813cc, (3T crank, mild overbore)
