KE70 diffs???

is the ke70 the one with the t series diff?
is that the diff housing u can buy all the trd and kaaz centres for?

the t series rear end comes on the T-18 ( TE72 )

not all ke70 diff are barg warner!
my panel van has an japanese diff in it
3 different types of rear end it can have!

KE70 had if its aussie made the bo(r)g warner diff...
if its a import like the T18 and the panelvan it had a jap diff, T and S respectivly..
I had a PV with 4ag and I swapped the Sjap diff for a borg warner and it held up fine... u can get the borg warner in 3.9, 4.1 and 4.3 ratio where as the PV Sjap diff was only 3.9..also good luck finding a PV diff but the wagon diffs r quite common....though I could never find a wagon with the 4.3 diff..

the panel vans are significantly different to the sedans and wagons, and are more like AE7X PV than KE. ie brakes are same as sprinter (238?mm vs 218mm), diff is same as sprinter etc.
AE71? Bog or jap?

australian delivered and sold ke70 panelvan
with jap rear end :s312
panelvan has leafsprings, sprinter has coil+shock

yeah the panelvans were australian delivered and sold but they were imported by toyota ie not manufactured here...
AE71(sedan and wagon) was basically australian manufactured....it had a lot of aussie stuff in it...It had the borg warner diff in it...
AE71 (PV) import....

If you look internationally, most of the KE70's ran the U code diff. TRD LSD was available for those, but discontinued now I believe.

1. They're noisy buggers
2. They break real easy...
3. They're a bit more of a mongrel to fix up than the other diffs when you do break them
4. They can get some pretty amazing backlash in them 
5. They're a bogwarmer product, what else should be said?
