need help with diagnostic code! Fri, 23 September 2005 08:35 Go to next message
my car has lost its head!

its a 4age 16v "blue top" map version
out of jap AE86 Levin , in a KE70 P/van

when car was wired up we decided against
connecting the speed sensor business,
and I'm sure thats supposed to give
a trouble code but this code its giving me
isn't really a code that makes sense, well to me
any way?!

when in diagnostic mode the ecu light flashes
9 consecutive flashes followed by 9 consecutive
flashes, anybody cop'd this one before,
got any idea's on this?

the engine seems to be driving fine, but
having said that its only been in the car for about
1 month, Ive never driven anything with a 4age in it
previous to this, so I'm not 100% sure were i stand.
the car doesn't miss, idle is smooth, backfires every now
and then when your changing through the gears, but timing's fine

some help would be awsome folks
cheers!
