mumblezzz's crap KE70 Sat, 17 September 2005 10:16 Go to next message
Well guys heres my peice of crap KE70 corolla. I originally bought it off ebay for $250 with the plan to house all the running gear out of my old AE86 that was written off.

It started life powered by firebreathing 4K and a slipping 3 speed auto which promptly found its way to the tip where it belongs. In its place is now the 4age from my AE86 with JDM tyte yo' ecu and loom. Other mods include my stupid noisy drainpipe exhaust, a T-18 T diff with my cusco LSD, makita 1 way adjustable suspension and an AW11 steering wheel.

ZOMGWTFPICS!!!!!11

Dunno how it would go at the lights being only a stocker 4AGE but im guessing its a bit quicker than the average KE70.

Feel free to post comments and laugh at it because I dont really give a shit. It was built purely as a thrash car and as it sits it still owes me less than $1000. Just something to keep me occupied while I build the cressida.

Hahah mad sleeper man, well done. Can you please take a photo of the right side of your engine bay? (where you mounted your ignition coil and how you got the clutch line away from the extractors)

Cheers,
Kev.

Its super dodgy ATM but it works.

And because I use a Jap T-50 the clutch slave is on the other side so I dont have that problem. My friend who did the same conversion used a long peice of braided line with a banjo fitting and it angles away from the extractors.

Cheers for that photo man Smile

One more though please, I need to know exactly how the fuel rail is mounted (spacers?) and how the fuel gets into the fuel rail (how to set up the banjo bolts :S).

Thanks heaps man!

Close up of the fuel rail.

http://www.onthenet.com.au/~pauls/Images/KE70/KE70 _rail.jpg

I chopped the Banjo fitting off the feed line and ran it into a VN fuel filter.

This is the vacuum lines and return line at the back of the fuel rail.

Lol nah keep the stock wheels, full sleeper!! But yeah you could atleast neaten it up a bit by removing the pinstriping and side protector strips, and getting rid of any "visable" rust!

Atleast your car won't get pulled over.. I guarantee within a month of getting my licence my car will be defected hahah.

Nah the steelies have to go. The tyres are horrible, I have some shitty 14x7's to go on once I get some rubber for em. The strips kind of add to the shitbox look, added to the fact I couldnt be arsed pulling them off. Plus the noise of the thing would probably be enough to enquire within, its not exactly a quiet exhaust.

Lol atleast you dont have a black bonnet that screams "THIS CAR IS DEFECT CENTRAL, PULL ME OVER!" hahah... umm.. now that I think about it... why did I? never mind..

Laughing

Anyway yeah I'm on the lookout for some wider rims, maybe even 15" so i can remove my front tyre wall "jump all over the road" problem... Mine are currently 14x6. I would suggest if you camber your front wheels, go 15s...
