what do u need to do to put an lsd in an ae71?
Im also wanting to make the suspension nice n hard for drifting,
what would be the cheapest way to get it harder.

if ur doing it on the cheap, weld the diff up. as for suspension, buy harder springs and shocks. They are interchangable with spoontah stuff, which you will find lots of around. stiffer the better for d1 action

the chassis are the same, and therefor the suspension will fit, i think the struts are a little different and ppl run sprinter front struts or is it just the strut top thats different?, but yeah the front struts i hear are a direct bolt up, and yeah the springs and shocks for a sprinter both front and rear will fit, for the front im not sure if it will fit without running sprinter strut's but its worth your while doing that so u can get all the other adjustable goodies, rca's, camber tops, control arms and the rest that suit a sprinter, the steering racks are identical also i think. hope this helped. struts are different
ae86 run different steering arm! so be sure to change that!
rack mounts are same distance apart, but rack shaft is shorter
to put lsd in ae71, you need to go to a wrecker and get a t18 diff (preferably with swaybar mounts) and then pm me, and i will get you a 2 way lsd straight out of japan, that will bolt straight in! 
cheapest way to "make it harder" would be springs
the cheapest way to reduce body roll would be swaybars!!
