Hi ppl my TA22 has just started stuttering/dieing under load (but will free rev fine) at about 4500 rpm Ive done the points and a tune but its still doing it? would it be the leads Id just done the soak with WD40 then mist water into the carb decarbonise thing too now I think of it
could be the plugs or leads. check weather or not your spark plug holes are full of oil. The tube seals leak oil from the rocker in and 'wet' the leads causing missfire under load. That or change plugs. Definaly sounds like igntion system I think. Would it keep revving all the way up if you gave it time or is it just hitting a wall? (if hitting wall suspect blocked fuel line etc)
