stupid wheel fitment question on a SW20.. Tue, 27 September 2005 08:28 Go to next message
this might be a silly question but..

will a set of 17x9" rims at say about +40 offset with a 10mm spacer fit snugly in under the SW20 guards? same deal for the front but 17x8"? worried about clearance thats all..

Will be a very snug fit I think, I had DTM 16" 205's front and back on my MR2 and the fronts scrubbed ever so lightly at full lock, not sure of the offset...

i really should trial fit them i think.

my neighbour has a nice set of 17" Sebrings which he will sell to me for $600 (bit of gutter rash, but thats ok, it can be fixed).

without a lip i dont think they will get under the rear however with a lip it might just fit, but i reckon it will be a very tight fit. without the spacer you might have a bit more room to play with though.
