I don't think she really knows what's going on. I have taken it around there recently and she didn't have a great deal to say but, "wow, that looks good", you know, in an 80 year olds voice.

Hi,
Haven't real old photos (circa 1982) of the old girl with me 'cos they're back in Sydney....
Nothing much changed from 1982 to 1989, where it was driven as a daily driver. In 1989 it was repsrayed (original colour -the colour in these pics) and in doing so the GT stripes (which were a bit tattered and faded) were removed in the process. Engine rebuilt at that time also.
Circa 2001 (new wheels - replaced the old chromed kidney ones)
Circa 2004 (1st Toymods Toyfest - 15x6 Soarer wheels)
Circa 2005 (fender mirrors added, interior restored)
All she needs done now is to get a respray (original colour), original wheels and the GT stripes re-applied and she's all completed!!!

Well heres my before and after. About 5 months has lapsed between photos. Most of my changes have been to the suspension, as well as tidying up the stock interior. Engine swap was already done, and provided it holds up it wont get much modification until after i have replaced the steering rack and gearbox (the only original mechanical bits of left on the car)

Before
After - Little change in just over a day...
I know there will be mixed responses, but I really wanted the car to look a certain way and i'm definitely happy with it.. Thats the main thing..

Thanks hahaha..
The wheels are the same but sprayed black, they are too difficult to keep clean, the design is aweful, it took me 20 minutes to clean each wheel just to prepare for paint,
The wheels look a lot better in real life..
Just a note about my black bonnet, the car is gettin a respray in about 2 weeks, I trialed it out to see how it looks, if i decide to keep it black, it will be a deep gloss black!

smt007 your rims look great. I had rims like that on my old car and they are C*#T's to clean but imo look better than chrome.

That thought crossed my mind to, but I just put it down to my eyes.
But since you brought it up I down loaded the photo and zoomed in on the wheels, they just happen to be identical angles and position.
