Well, I can allready cut massiv second geer driftz past da coppaz! dey tink itz a fwd!
I've enquired about new whitewalls the same... But I dont think theyre up to the high speeds that she would be doing with a 1JZ, over 120ish they start to flap... I've allready lost two... The style im getting are hot rubber that is rolled onto the tyre, permanent and can withstand high speed... perfect!
Im installing a good stereo on saturday... its all competition stuff that I bought off my cousin... the head deck alone was around 1800 new...

CarAudio Competitions, i thought you might know about it if you are getting a decent headunit, SPL is big bass testing, SQ is Sound quality testing .

yeah was sad to see it go.
the big thing that really gets me is that i am extremely embarrassed about the paintjob (embarrassed enough to be too scared to attend toyotafest, yeah i know im lame). I really wanted the car to come out perfectly, but having to abort it half way through is a real sore point, the poor thing didnt get the love she needed.
knowing its being improved and driven (skids yet?) week by week is all i need to make me feel better about it because it would have only kept gathering dust if i hadnt sold it.
so yeah im glad your enjoying it man, keep up the good work.

Rob and I both had similar plans for the car in the end anyway, so hopefully Rob will also be happy...
I wouldnt say the paint job is bad... its just not finished... Dont be so hard on yourself...
Im about 3/4 through the stereo install... So far it sounds excellent and the fit and finish is good, only thing is I dont like how the head unit is mounted so i'll work on making something more permanent..
PS: I did some skids... only for some girls in a car...

In stock trim it would kill a KE55... the power this thing has is more impressive than I had originally thought it would be...
Its much more luxurious than the KE55 was... And it seems to handle/stop better...
I sold the AE86 because I was in debt with my parents for schoolies/phone bills etc. And because I'd always wanted a MX23 and finally because I was sick of the "drift wannabe" tag that sprinter owners get...

Hi,
Sweet car.
I saw it at Toyfest and it looked very tidy. It's nice to see you've outgrown the shopper trolleys and got yourself into a true old school classic.
And Rob, what ya gunna do now? Get another 'rona or some old classic Toyota?

The white walls were $200 for the lot... Obviously the bigger wall you get the more expensive...
Yeah I quite like the steelie look too, I think I might get a chrome outer ring to hide the scratches... at least that gives me a few different ways the wheels can look...
