3T dizzy vacuum advance - How does it work? Mon, 03 October 2005 12:00
Hey all

I've swapped a 3T distributor onto my 2T engine (original was stuffed), but i'm confused about the twin diaphragm vacuum advance - How does it work??? Confused

When hooking up the vacuum line from the carby to the front diaphragm, at the same rpm it increases the timing by heaps, almost 20 degrees, then won't return back immediately, it slowly creeps back to where it was.

When hooked up to the rear diaphragm, it does nothing Crying or Very Sad

How are the vacuum lines supposed to be hooked up to these dizzys? I've searched google etc, but can't find any diagrams.

Thanks in advance (pardon the pun)

Phil
