Exhaust System for 86 SX Celica Wed, 05 October 2005 01:47 Go to next message
I am really new to this forum and have found lots of info. I recently purchased a 86 Celica with 65000km's on Re-COnditioned engine for $4500. I am planning on putting on a full exhaust system, what size? 2 1/4 inch is most mentioned in these forums, I also want the cannon muffler, I am also planning on custom headers/extractors. Could someone please give me a rough estimate, price wise?

P.S Thanx in advance

Mid Muffler (if required) $100

pacemaker ceramic headers ~500
2.25" magnaflow hiflow cat ~230
2.25" stainless flex section ~60
stainless cannon muffler ~100-150
resonator ~60-200 depending on how long it is and if its mild or stainless
2.25" pipework and labour ~100-200 depending on if its mild or stainless.

mild steel will give you the surface rust look in about 2 months Smile

and all of this will give you... say.... 5-10hp?

my old st162 felt faster with the stocker exhaust on. . its really not worth it and i'm starting to hate non-turbo fours with fat exhaust.

I have a 2.5 inch exuast on my st162 celica i want to trade for stock. It's not that it's bad, it's just i don't need the exessive noise when arriving at work in the morning Laughing

It looks quite new too! (only got the car a couple days ago)
