FS! Complete 20V front cut *pics* ONLY $1000!!! Tue, 04 October 2005 08:40 Go to next message
Hi ppl,
helping a mate out who is interested to sell his complete 20V front cut for just $1000!!!

He paid $1200 1 month ago just for the front cut and the reason he might want to part with it is because he no longer has any interests to put the 20V into his car.

Its a 20V motor. Complete cut with AFM (not shown in photo). Has only done 62 332km.
He has spent 1 month pain-stakingly finding ALL the necessary parts to make this baby new and ready for any conversion. That is - ONTOP of the $1200 purchase value, he has purchased a full gasket kit, water pump, timing belt and tensioner [ALL are GENUINE TOYOTA ITEMS and BRAND NEW]

Might be a stupid question but are the auto motors any different to the manuals ? ECU etc ?

i dont believe they are. the auto transmission is not ecu controlled, its cable controlled. no worries there

motor is exactly the same . i think you're safer buying an auto knowing that you cant really thrash an auto, as it has a lower redline etc, and most probably it wasnt some revhead that bought it.

Has the engine been compression tested? If so what are the values? Interested if you can show me the values or if I can come down and test it.

I've heard that the 20v's come with 5 different ecu's.

what would happed if i were install a manual gearbox to auto ecu???

would the motor still function ok?

Re: FS! Complete 20V front cut *pics* ONLY $1000!!! Thu, 03 November 2005 05:15 Go to previous messageGo to next message
yes it would be ok. there would be a $5 mod to allow the motor to rev past 7500 (i think) mark.
as discussed before on twincam.org, it is a very minor mod. it will work guaranteed. experts will second this.
