intercooler for 3TGTE in T18,

well my engine is coming back together and i have decided to keep standard internals and computer so i can spend more money on the car, paint + suspension. but i really dont want to run over stock boost until i get a decent intercooler and ECU. i want some info on an intercooler brand and size that would be efficiant for the CT20 and will fit into my T18 i was thinking about 600X300X76? has anyone fitted an intercooler to a T18 or an TE series toyota and what needs to be done? as in chopping out bits and pieces and making brackets i wouldnt mind some pics to start modifying and making holes for piping. also i dont want to spend to much on the cooler.

i would expect a 600 x 300 cooler on a T18 would be a tight squeeze - it was for my RA40 anyway.

you might be better off with something standard toyota maybe. like a GZ20 or JZA70 etc cooler. they arent big however im sure they would keep a stock 3t cool enough.

i have a stock GZ20 cooler if you are interested - PM me for details

450*300*76mm cooler will more than cover 200kw at the wheels on a 3TGTE, and fit much better, with the pipes at the top going through the radiator support panel between the headlights for a nice short run between the turbo & inlet manifold.

600mm is better for "bling" factor though Razz
