Is there a trick to getting this thing off? Or am I just a big girly man?

Usually they're quite good at taking themselves off most of the time - it only becomes a problem when some other idiot has superglued the thing on there to stop it dropping off on its own.

This cover is the same one as on most recent model HiLux dual cab utes, like RZN149 etc... Just incase you find it hard getting a new one.

pretty much any of the toyotas in that period have the same cover according to the epc, get cracking (bad pun) and go to your local self serve and work out how they come off before you break your own. or nab a new one when you break yours
you can learn so much stuff for only $1
