- Short E to T1 on the diagnostic connector (fixes timing to 10°)
-Get a timing light with trigger lead attached to cylinder one ignition lead (closed to crank pulley).
-start up engine
-check ignition timing should be 10° (most anti-clockwise timing mark on crank pulley (marks are TDC, 10°,14° advance)
-stop engine
-loosen position locking bolt on the CAS and adjust a TINY amount
-re-check timing
Now you know which way to rotate the CAS keep adjusting until its its right!
Cheers, Nick

Hi Nick,
Do you know how to set the timing if the CAS has been removed from the engine?

From the 4AGE manual: Set No1 TDC compression stroke, align the drill mark on the CAS shaft with the protrusion on the housing. Insert CAS into cylinder head.
From memory, there are markings on the lip of the CAS body, which are visible when the CAS cover is removed. Align the drillmarked rotor arm, with the marks on the housing. Install CAS.
cheers Chuck.
