well i own a corolla cs with a 1.6 carby 8v single cam and was wondering what mods i can do to give it a bit of power.
so far ive got a pod filter, and im getting the cam done as well as an exhaust.
the reason i want to do some mods as it already has paint job and interior.
this car would be a daily driver as im going to begin my next project car. n e help would be great Laughing and no engine conversion advice

if it's your daily car..don't touch it..either put a 4age in it..or leave it stock..be far to unreliable and cost too much in fuel..a 4age uses far less fuel..revs twice as much, make 40% more power, and is more reliable..i would do it just to save fuel!

yep but i see no point of changing from carby to efi if my next car will have a 4AGE 20v and it would be far less easier to do efi to efi.

That's actually a 4ac.. in which case don't waste your money on it. It's just not worth it. Do a search and you'll find out plenty more about why

Dale speaks the truth. You can't put a pod on a carby Wink

Why your getting cam's done, beat me. The 4ac is only good as a daily driver, getting power out of it is like getting blood out of a stone. You'll probably spend $20K to get 30fwkw Laughing

but then it won't be a reliable daily driver..it will drink a fair bit more fuel too..the cam won't do much without a decent carby eg 32/36 weber..and then your cheap run around daily driver guzzles more fuel than your 20V one..it would use more fuel stock as it is right now than a 4age (20v included)..don't go mucking around with it..it's not worth it..
