i was wondering, if anyone knows how there is the new p's law and it is "illegal"(its some new rule) to drive a car on your p's that has engine performance mods and that its also "illegal" to do engine transplante.i was wondering if it will be so called legall to have a sprinter with a 4age in it or at some stage were they imported with a 4age...

from what i remember p plater rules say that you can't drive anything with more than 4 cylinders (I'm not sure about 5 cylinders! lol) but generally, i6's v6's and v8's are not allowed. Forced induction is also a no no.

4age in sprinter = not bad, think about all the ae82's and ae92's.

if you have a look on the rta nsw site they have all the info on the new rules and what exempt and whats not

also if you had ur p's before the 11july none of these rules affect you unless you lose your license for a "serious" offense.. i havent read up on those offences as i dont plan to get caught

and as far as your 4age in an ae86? thats fine all the normal registration rules apply but nothing new there

basically goto rta site it has everything you want to know

i presume you're in nsw? otherwise disregard most of this and ask someone who knows about ur states rules...
