Power FC Vs SAFC + boost controller? Sun, 16 October 2005 02:15 Go to next message
Hey heres a quicky (sorry for the tech flood!) I'm just deciding whether to go with a Power FC or the latest SAFC?

Looking at to get 350 odd at the treads, I want to retain my ABS and cruise (once cruise is hooked back up) and i'm not sure if the Power FC can do this? Also seriusly considering a set of 250~ or 260~ cams as well, not sure if i can tune the safc for the cams?

Also could the Power FC help eliviate my boost spike issue i've just discovered?

Comments opinions slander? Very Happy

Thanx Again

I figure ABS and cruise are completely seperate from the ECU am i right? there for no issues with runnign the Power FC

Question is i spose is the SAFC up to the challange of my mods or do i need to fork out or the Power FC?

power fc is a complete replacement... the safc is just dealing with 1 section of the setup really.

Boost spike, will most likely be your boost controller? PowerFC has a boost controller, but you'll need the solinoid kit, which usually costs extra.

Yeah i realise the SAFC is only dealing with fuel but will i need any more control-ability (word?) then fuel for 350kw with mods MAINLY consisting of cams, boost and other flow items (IC, exhaust, ect) fuel too, if needed. Point being do i need to go the full power FC

some would say timing is more critical to high boost applications.... it stops things going boom.
