With the tails light is it one or both. If one, which side?
If its both or just the left I will take them/it.
I will pay for shipping if you would send it to melbourne.
Let me know

I have only ONE tail light available. the ad says 'N/SR tail light' which translates for those not in the trade as Near Side, which means side nearest the gutter,or left.
the other light was damaged by an errant tree lopper...it has a roughly 2" hole in the indicator on the corner. the N/S light is perfect.
I'm willing to ship it to you in melbourne Jezza,PM me and I'll give you banking details to do a transfer.

Jezza can't afford $60 for the tail light,so it's still available,as is everything else in the post above.

I am sorry, but I doubt Near Side would be a term used that much. I don't think its a very good term, since we don't always know if the vehicle is LHD or RHD. Somehow I doubt Toyota parts listing would use this term.

Jonny: it's clear that you don't work in the trade then if that's what you think. you're completely wrong on that point.
maybe when dealing with the ignorant public parts interpreters will say left and right side, but to us who work on cars for our living,it's near side and off side. these terms were created to LESSEN confusion, not increase it. once you work them out,it's actually easier to work out what someone is referring to when it's done in this fashion. near side is the side closest to the gutter when the car is parked, and off side is the side of the car away from the gutter.
left and right can be taken two ways. left when you're sitting in the car,or left when you're standing in front of it...
N/S and O/S get rid of that potential misunderstanding.
granted, the way I've used it doesn't work if the car is driven on the right hand side of the road, but this is Australia, and Australian terminology,so it is relevant, and practical. I'll have you know that this system is used widely here,as well as in the UK and the US,although the yanks will be doing it in a reversed manner to us and the British.
Youngy: no worries, give me a call when you're ready.

At Toyota, we often use LHR, RHR, LHF, RHF to describe the position of parts, and this is often imprinted on the parts themselves. Or at least L, or R.

that's great,I'm glad that works for you guys down there. on the mainland, everyone I've ever dealt with in my 9 yrs in the trade (and I currently work at toyota too btw...) uses near side and off side when describing parts. anyway, this has nothing to do with this thread any more,so either come up here and buy something,or piss off.
