Hello,
just wondering how one would gain compliance for an import vehicle sourced from auctions in Japan? so that it may be registered for use within Queensland. I have tried the queensland transport email address but it just bounces back.
Any help anyone?

Your first port of call, will be a compliance workshop (RAWS).
These are the only people that can actually apply for an import approval for a post December 1988 import.
Pre January 1989 cars can still be imported, under what was called the 15 year rule. You buy the car, then you apply to DOTARS for the import approval.
cheers Chuck.
