Supercharger piping

Gday,
Am looking into doing a SC14 setup on my 3SGE and was wondering would it be possible to get away with not using metal piping for all the SC charge pipes?
Also I was wondering about design. What is the general flow of a SC system, I am looking at running the SC -> cooler -> then straight onto the existing intake piping manifold. I have a TPS system on it currently, which side of the charger should this be?

You should have the throttle body before the supercharger. You might be able to get away with a big BOV if you run the throttle body after, but, you might have problems.
Other than metal, what are you thinking about making the pipes out of?

if throttle is before the SC, ALL piping must be metal or else it will collapse under the vacuum of the SC...
even 3-4" sections of silicon pipe could get sucked in.

True. Thought it's not the SC which makes the vacuum, it's just purely because it's post TB.
Not necessarily metal, but the piping must be rigid and so doesn't give you many other options... maybe PVC if you want to be dodgy about it.

The throttle body can be moved easily enough, which positioning is better?
I was thinking of going with silicon tubing, due to being able to purchase myself and fit myself(no welding skills).

Silicon turbo doesn't like vacuum.
Autospeed had an article about using copper pipe which might be easier.
How do you plan on mounting a supercharger if you can't weld?

Its going to sit on my lap.  No I have a friend that is going to make some mounts up for me, but I am not sure if I could stretch that to piping, but will try if not I will find someone to pay to do it.

very thick reinforced rubber hose (like radiator hose) work it can.
why not use pre-bent bits of metal pipe? buy them at exhaust shop if machine shops and factories you cannot find.
