Hey all
Im new to this forum and ive fell in love so much with a V8 soarer... .Its just so much different to anything else and the prices are just crazy for what they are...
Anyway i hope to join u other soarer owners sometime soon. ive done a search on here and i cant find info on what to look for. so im asking u ppl if u can tell me what i should look for whjen im buying one! Ive looked at twin turbos n that but im happy with an NA V8....

Yeah the TT 2.5 has more power, but the V8 is all smooth and with the torqueness.
What do you mean what to look for? As in wear and likely problems? I can't think of any off the top of my head. 1UZ-FE is pretty solid.

Hey , i found that site ages ago when looking for info on caldina's it's pretty good for getting basic stats on all the major imports.

thanks for the replies... i meant stuff such as whats wrong with them and what are negative thigs about the car to look for...
a girl i work with had a 92 soarer V8 and her cat converter stufffed up, she needed a new tranny and just other minor niggles....

Yeah i realised that after i posted the link, might be useful though to to look at the different spec models and there standard equipment and make sure someones not trying to pass something off as a higher spec model. In my time on toymods I can't really remember any negative posts about the 1UZ-fe motor in terms of reliability.
Have you checked out the soarer forums you might get a quicker reply there and more UZZ31 owners. I think its ALSC or something like that.
