Air Con In AE92 Converted to 4AGZE

Hi All,
Just had a quick question about the air con in my 91 AE92. 
It was converted from a 4AFE to 4AGZE before I bought her. The compressor is there, but seems not to be hooked up to the pipes etc. When I hit the a/c button the clutch does not kick in and make the compressor spin either.
Is it not hooked up because the a/c rigging in the car from the 4AFE is not compatible with the 4AGZE compressor?
Any info to help me get a/c going would be great

Take it to an air con specialist. They will be able to make new hoses to connect to the compressor. It will then need to be regassed and then you can check if the wiring is hooked up properly  .

Cool, will go and do that. I hope the compressor is ok and they just never hooked it up.
As for the wireing, I susspect it is not hooked up. The AirCon dude prob wouldn't know anything about that hey?

its not hard to do the wiring
just fiddly
and depends how they wire up the 4agze in the first place
if u ever drive it down to sydney ill wire it for you

If you take it to an auto elec that does air con they should be able to do the lot.

Thanks again for the tips guys. Should be able to get something going with that advice.
Sideshow, just bought the car from Syd about 3-weeks ago. Drove her back up to Bris same day. Don't think I will be doing a drive like that again anytime soon
