Depends if it is a repairable write off (i.e. not a statutory write off)... if its a repairable write off you can get it registered in any state.
A statutory write off can't be registered anywhere.

this is kinda off but on the topic, somethin i didnt know until recently is that if a car goes for a swim its a statutory write off no matter wat u do to it
just thought id share this as i think its a rather ridiculous stance
anywho, if its a statutory rite off its a rite off everywhere around the world.

hmm i duno then
but its wat ive been told, but i duno how reliable the source is
coz i saw a neat as ba falcon at the wreckers for 7500 and i asked why it was riten off and they sed coz it had gone for a swim

tomorrow, call up your local RTA and ask them if that is the case
wreckers are nto exactly the best source of information on the planet.... if they were.. they'd have better jobs

What type of Falcoon was it? We were buying flood damaged BA XR6 Utes for about that price.

Yeah a repairable write off can be registered, but it has to go over the pits here in Vic. It can cost a bit to get it back on the road. A statuary write off is only good for parts.
