traction difference??

hey guys,
im looking into changing my stock A70 wheels which are 16X7+37 to R32 gts-t wheels which are 16X6.5+25
i know the change from 7 to 6.5 width will be a small factor (but not serious) issue for traction as it depends on the quality of the tyre...
but ive been told as the wheels will sit out a little more with a little less positive offset will result in heavier steering, much more pronounced tramlining, and less stability under brakes.
if so will this be serious or not really much of a difference...
its on a A70 '89 Supra thats N/A (7m-ge) so theres no huge power whihc it must be able to handle...
you think its safe and all good to go, or a no go?
cheers
andrew

steering may be heavier, but the extra track will benefit you.
i went from 13 by 5 inch +27 offset wheels on my sprinter to 14 by 6 inch +10 offset wheels, and haven't really noticed any downside.
they did tramline when my car was lowered by about 3 inches, but now it has king lows (not very low at all) its not so bad, it doesn't self centre as well as a standard one, but its not really a problem.
might wear out your wheel bearings sooner too, but overall it should be fine and look better too - assuming they will clear your gaurds
just re-read your post, why would you go to a narrower rim?

unless you are concerned with how they look, i'd leave the stock wheels on and save for the GTR wheels.
