2T-G head bolts` Sat, 05 November 2005 08:04 Go to next message
Hi,

2T-G head bolts are NLA at Toyota. The 18R-G bolt has the same p/n according to Melbourne City Toyota.

Where can I get some aftermarket bolts for this application? Any experiences?

Also planning to look into ARP studs, there's no p/n for 2T-G application. Apparently 22R ARP studs are a close fit and are used in 3T-C in USA. Wonder if these would work...

Cheers,
Michael

ARP don't make 18RG studs, and I'm not certain of the compatibility with 22R studs. I will be checking this soonish though. If the 22r studs did fit, there is also no guarantee the 22r bolts would fit...

If you want a set of really good 18rg head studs, there is a group buy happening at the moment. (If you are certain they are interchangable with 2TG ones that is...). They are $200 a set. PM yellorolla if you are interested.

Not sure if this will help but it would be worth contacting them and asking about the studs, im sure youve heard of them, their in the states and deal with only toyotas mostly old school

http://www.paradiseracing.com/arp.htm

Doesnt say anything about "2TG" head studs but they do supply ARP studs and probably would supply a set for the TG??

good luck with the search, im also looking at getting some new studs soon aswell so ill be watching this thread.

cheers
