Yeah you should be fine with some high temp paint from a can...just do some good prep work.

I got a panel beating/spray shop to do mine in two pack. very tough surface compared to cheap paint in a can. cost me $50 cash... really smooth shiny finish.

you dont need high temp paint at all, normal auto paint is fine the rocker cover doesnt really get that hot to warrant high temp paint.
just sand, prime and paint it and it will look like it did from the factory.

rite rite.
I was thinking that too. Consider a couple cans of spray will cost almost the same amount of money a shop will charge I think.

With my 16v i just brought a wire brush wheel from my local hardware, put it on my drill and went crazy, then you'll need to spend some time with the wet and dry paper to smooth over any lumps and bumps. Any good quality primer and paint will be ok for the rest.
It took me about 4 hrs total to do it, just get all the right things together first then go for it.

Lol my cover ain't that good, I spent a few hours with some wet and dry and Mothers polish, not mirror like but a much nicer finish than the before! I did the whole bay with the spare time I had on the hols. Have to get the photo off my friend, waiting, waiting....

Yeah, came in a spray can, bought it from Marlows, like $13 or something. You spray it on once, wait like 5 mins, give it another coat in the opposite direction, wait another 5 and do it again. I found the wrinkles worked best when you was hot and/or in full sun.
