Electronic Boost Controller Mon, 31 October 2005 08:06 Go to next message
ok guys and gals... im after opinions on different EBC's people may have used or heard about...

now i dont want a massive wanker add on like those apexi blue screen things... i mean, im sure they are good, but i just dont want to spend that kind of money on an EBC...

im currently looking at the new Hybrid dual stage controller... it has a built in map sensor to ensure your engine gets the boost you want it to.. not like my current atmo bleed valve is now.. the boost is tapering off at high rpm...

all i want it a bit quicker spool, and for the boost to hold what you set it to.

thanks for your opinions...

http://www.gizzmoelectronics.com/product_boost.htm

Autobarn re-sells them as well as a few other places, not sure on cost but it is in that ballpark.

i picked an eboost 2 up new for $620 through motoequip - evryone thinks their the best and their are a hell of a lot cheeper then the jap brands.. im yet to tune it properly but i think u will find all ebc will spike and drop off boost, just knowehere near as much as a bleed valve. ive noticed that when the auto kicks down a gear (into first ) the eboost has a tendancy to spike - at one time to 18psi and drop to 14 where its vaguel;y set at, it might need proper set up but hey..

I have a blitz dual sbc, and it is da shiznit.

My boost "spikes" to 15.4 psi, then drops back to 15.0 psi at rev limiter. Pretty damn good.

Seeing as I run mine day to day at 1.1 bar, and I've had it at 1.6 bar before, I sure hope it's not limited to 1 bar! Smile

Seriously though, I'm pretty sure the blitz goes to 2.5 bar.
2 bar at the very least, anyway.
