Yes folks, you read the title right, no it's not a mis-print, and no I haven't lost my marbles. And I don't want any PM's saying "are you for real???" either...
1999 model RAV4 5-dr 5-speed manual (SXA-11R)
Unfinished project, regularly driven
Highly modified with a 3S-GTE engine from a Celica GT-Four and full drivetrain mods
3" stainless steel exhaust throughout
17" chrome wheels, 255/50R17 rubber all-round, great condition
DBA front rotors cross-drilled + slotted
Monza seats
Rear spoiler
Heaps more work done to it, all receipts
Engineer's Certificate for ALL mod's
It's in immaculate condition, loads of spares including factory rims.
Make an offer.
This really is the hardest decision I've had to make, and in the end it will have to go, preferably to a good home. It had to go sometime, and now is that time.
Genuine offers only - time-wasters need not reply. Needs to be sold very soon.

Seriously guys, I need cash so I can pay off these loans and get another RAV4 (newer model one). My modifying time had come to an end, I'm sorry to say. This has been fun, as had my last car (a Mitsubishi Scorpion), but fun time is over now. I'm in a hole and need to get myself out of it (financially).
I've no idea what to sell this beast for, and there's no other cars like this in the market to set a benchmark price either. Don't forget, the plates go with the car too.

It would be a bit hard to value this one... as you said there isn't really anything like it around.
Possibly compare it to the ST205 value wise so say $20-25k?

According to Redbook, SXA11R prices are only a few G's below ST205 prices. And anyone who has kept up with this project knows that you're getting a hell of a lot more than just a wagon with a hairdryer!

yes your right i spose.
this might just ahve to be one of those sales u ahve to hold on for a bit untill the right buyer comes along.
as it is a rare car, you have a smaller market than if it were a stock car, and will have to wait for sum1 who knows what they are getting, as with any customized car.
goodluck with sale, and it is a beatiful vechile. personally id love it, but dont have cash for ya!

The ST205 is listed as:
National average price - private sale* $21,800 - $26,400
so you would expect a reasonable condition one to go for 23k and one with properly done mods in excellent condition to go for much more.
Don't sell this car Andrew... if you're broke just go chuck the old motor back in and sell it as a stocker.
At least that way you don't lose any of the major cash you've dumped into it and you can just pick yourself up another shell later when you have the cash and start back where you left off.

Toobs - stock guts got sold a year ago.
Sorry to say this guys, but this car's time with me has come and gone. I'm resigned to selling it unfortunately. I'd love more than anything to keep it, but the money pit keeps getting deeper. I'm sinking here, not managing to stay afloat. To keep with the metaphor, I've been treading water for the past 8 months hoping not to sink. If I hold onto it for much longer, I'll have the car repo'd. That's how bad it is.
It's not an option anymore, it's gotta go. If any of you following this thread know of ANYONE looking for a very unique ride and preferably willing to pick up where I left off, point them in this direction... show them this link, or better yet, give them my mobile number (in the sig).
Those who have followed my project on here will be as disappointed as I am to see this beauty let go. That's why I want it to go to a good owner and preferably garaged.
Anyway, enough of the sentimental babble, it's gotta sell. Ideally I'm looking for around $30k. Face it, it's worth it. Thanks for the help with the figures Toobs.

Spewin, Spewin, Spewin, Andrew if only u were selling this car 2mths ago. I just bought a 98 Rav4 and am looking into turbo'ing it as my last two cars were Nissan turbo's and i have cought the hairdryer bug! If I had have seen this for sale I would have bought it. We just refinanced the house loan so I could have put it on the house loan then, AAAhggghgh 
Hhhmmm, maybe could sell the Rav off and refinance again if bank says it's a free refinance, might ask them tomorrow.

NSW not that far, would've been a nice FlynBuy then cruize home from there to Cairns QLD (call it a holiday), just did Brisbane to Cairns (1780klms)in 19hrs straight-through picking up this RAV. But yeh plates bit of a waiste of mulah$.

They will refinance but not for free, I'm looking at $2800 to refinance, not worth it unfortunately Have u tried carsales.com, it's only $10 for an add that lasts till u sell. I have sold my last car (4-Door R33 GTS-T Skyline) on there to a guy who lived over 500klms away.

I'm afraid a high-profile modified Skyline like the R33 will always be in demand and sell a lot quicker that a little-known and much lower profile modified RAV4.
I'm researching appropriate media to best sell my car in, like uniquecarsales and shit like that. Anything that will gain an audience for this type of car.
I've tried 4 forums so far, no luck.

Its unfortunate that your forced to sell your RAV4, looks very nice and is definatly something different. If you need to sell this quickly I would definatly recommend advertising on carsales.com.au Its only $10 and could do nothing but increase your chances of selling the car.

Sorry to see you have to sell dude. I know how muc hwork you've put inot it.
If you want a quick sale, you're going to have to splash it all around.
I've only just found a possible buyer for my car after 8 months of not really trying. Again, the problem of a unique car with mods that don't really suit the vehicle its on (in my case a slug engine in a good chassis)
You haven't been able to consolidate the loans to try to reduce the burden? Spoken to a financial advisor?
