hey guys
i've seenheaps of cressida for sale but alot are cheap but in top notch condition but there so cheap because the head gasket has gone.

what are head gaskets worth for these cars/engines?

The head gasket itself can be purchased from $35 to $80 depending on where you shop.

It is strange that the hg has gone on the 5m/6m motors normaly its the 7m's that have a blown hg and the 5m's have stuffed valve stem seals

because i was wondering if it would be worth buying and doing the head gasket...

the only down side to the cressida is that auto... i dont want to be messing around with a manual convertion.

if its a good price buy it do the hed gasket and sell it for a profit then buy a mark2 coupe and put a reel enjin in it

Most MX73's with BHG will be 5M-E, not 5MGE

Vary rare for a 5MGE to BHG, unless its been cooked severly.

okay.. well was just trying to find out from someone who knows what there talking about.. rather than trying to go to a mechanic and trying to rip me off if i buy the car and show him etc.

so it really shouldnt cost too much?

buy and sell = mark2 = yesm
